After the workshop of Daren‘s first play “Merry Christmas! Love, Grenadine Ross & The Cherries,” he was contacted by the producers of the hit Off-Broadway spoof game show “The Ultimate Drag OFF!” to compete in the show as Grenadine Ross. He accepted the offer and quickly became an audience favorite. He was the Grand Champion of "Sounds of the 60's,” “Disco Divas,” and "Totally 80's," themed nights. He eventually went on to emcee the game show before the end of it’s run in February of 2008 (www.TheDragOff.com).

His musical sketch-comedy troupe Grenadine Ross & The Cherries was featured at the New York Gay Life Expo ‘07 in a “Dreamgirls” parody. They were also seen modeling for Travelocity.com and in “The Ultimate Drag Off”, as contestants on “Broadway” night.

Daren was the winner of the month long contest "Boot Camp" at Vlada Lounge in New York where he went on to host his own weekly game show "Camp Grenadine Ross". He was also crowned "Miss Fire Island Film Festival 2008" by the Long Island Gay & Lesbian Film Festival (www.liglff.org).
